TRANSCENDENCE

I wanted to depict the moment of joy in meditation, when you break through. Almost as if you leave your mortal body and transform into light, or glass shards of your former self. I have realised this image means different things to different people and has been very popular as a card and print. The humingbird is rendered in mosaic pieces which geometrically describes its form as it flies heaven bound, splintering into glass shards.
